They fail. It's amazing how many adverbs that woman can fit in one book.

Nice world. Shame about the poor prose and often over lengthy description and plotlines.

I actually like the Harry Potter series. They are rather poorly written I think though, but enjoyable. When I was reading the sixth book, I was amazed at how badly the chapters were evolving. And the title for the seventh book? I'm not so sure it's the greatest idea. For the final book in the series, you'd think she could have come up with something a bit more intriguing. It may really be critical to the plot, I just don't like the sound of it! Oh well, I can't wait to read it.

The Harry Potter series is probably my favorite book series. I don't care if people think it's poorly written (which I don't - but I don't know much about quality), I just enjoy it. I'm looking forward to reading the final book.

I read the first four, but was so disappointed with the 'Goblet of Fires' shittiness that I gave up entirely.

Yeah, I'm salivating slightly at the prospect of beginning the last book. Only because its something I've grown up reading though. Wanna know what happens to these characters and the fate of Harry

Yeah, I really want the final book too. I have been reading these books since I was about 10 or so.

...I have been reading these books since I was about 10 or so. Me too, I loved them before I found a whole new world of books that are actually better. I'd still read this one just to end this chapter in my life, then I'll pass thema ll on to my sister. I don't know if she's as cool as I am, though, she still complains when I buy books for her she thinks are "too hard to read" or "for older kids". Pfff.

Hacker Claims To Have Posted Final Harry Potter Book source: imdb
A hacker claims to have been able to break into a computer at Bloomsbury Publishing in London, where he downloaded a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He in turn posted the copy on the website InSecure.org, saying "We make this spoiler to make reading of the upcoming book useless and boring." The authenticity of the manuscript has not been confirmed. The book is scheduled to be published on July 21, ten days after the next Harry Potter movie, The Order of the Phoenix, is due to be released in theaters. Some Warner Bros. executives had reportedly questioned the timing, expressing private concern that the expected revelation in the final book that at least one of the primary characters will die could affect ticket sales.

Rowling on 8th Potter Book: "Never Say Never"[/b] source: imdb
Author J.K. Rowling has apparently left the door ajar for an eighth Harry Potter novel. Asked during a BBC interview Friday night about the possibility of reviving the series in the future, Rowling reiterated that her seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, to be published on July 21, will be the last, but she added that her motto has always been "never say never." A spokesman for Rowling said Sunday: "It's not saying that she definitely is [going to write another Potter book], and it's not saying that she definitely isn't. I cannot comment further." Meanwhile, the British bookstore chain Waterstone's launched an online petition Sunday that begins with the words, "We, the undersigned, petition J. K. Rowling to write more new adventures for Harry Potter and his friends no matter what happens at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." And what if Rowling kills off Harry in the final book? Well, the bookstore observed, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed off Sherlock Holmes in 1893 in The Adventure of the Final Problem but brought him back to life after a public outcry.

This series is so terribly overrated. I read the first three, and couldn't find anything mildly interesting in them until the the third one, which I suppose is a decent kids book. However, if a series of books takes two books to get interesting at all, then it's a problem.

Eh, I enjoy them. They really improve in three through five, which are so much more developed and adult. I disliked six the first time I read it, but I am going to read it again this week in preparation for Deathly Hallows.

Yeah, I don't know if they are books I'd spend time rereading, despite having forgotten most of 6. Just the main plot points. I must say though, seeing the film has got me very excited for the final one.
