Spin Doctors- Jimmy Olsen's Blues, Little Miss Can't Be Wrong, and Two Princes. They are a great band, yet they get rapped for being like Hanson.

Ugh, a TON of hair metal. I mean, I LOVE to listen to hair metal. I know it's trashy music and most of the bands had no talent, but damn, those are some catchy tunes.

Considering that I thought this was suppose to be where you could talk about your guilty pleasures in an honest and guilt-free environment, although it doesn't exactly surprise me that there is no tolerance or maturity around here, I just figured that since we're sharing guilty pleasures and since someone mentioned it, I'd go with one of mine. Oh well.

I like the Used and Alkaline Trio quite a bit actually, so I suppose those are a couple "guilty pleasures." Can't get behind "Last Resort" though. Terrible song.

Yesterday I rawked out to Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend". Oh my word, what a trashy song! But it's fun to sing.

I totally dig Avril, most of her slow songs are awesome to listen to. Definitely a guilty pleasure, and you definitely can't flip out over someone saying they like "Last Resort" when you just said you put on hip hop channels, haha. That is easily the worst music being produced today, although it is up there with most pop. Plus, ie was just agreeing with me and Barr, so it seems there is something to like about that song. I knew it!

I was forced to listen to both new rap and Avril today while browsing FYE. Needless to say, my eardrums were in pain during the laughingly bad "This is Why I'm Hot" by like Middles or some rapper like that. Honestly, how do people listen to that music, even as a guilty pleasure?

I think the only thing to like about that song is the fact that it appeals to the suicidal nature of every human being. Some of us just don't need to identify with it.]

And, just for your information, I hate Avril, I hate all of her songs, I hate he old look, I hate her new look, I hate her voice, and I hate her style. I hate her fans, I hate her band. I only rawked out to that song because I felt like dancing and snging at school and it was stuck in my head from the radio.

That would be Mimms, and that is one of the worst songs ever made. Seriously, Nickleback + all the other terrible poppy bands that sound like that couldn't even touch that song, and the main reason is, because the song is terrible, but also because he thinks so much of himself. You have to be a real retard to write a song that has five words in it that describe yourself as being "hot." How people like that song amazes me, yet it doesn't, since people are so stupid. But, that song doesn't even compare to most of the songs I have to hear. It is actually much better than some of the crap that this black dude I know plays. One song has a line in it that is "the nigga, da nikkanikka, da niggAH, dah nikanika (repeat for 5 minutes)." Another song has a lyric that goes “gett-getting’ some head, tryin’ to get me some head, trick gives me some NECK!” The fact that a song like “Gettin’ Some Head” exists is just a disgrace. It makes me physically ill to hear such crap. And not only that, but they aren't fun to listen to, or even have good stolen beats, it is just 100% shit. It is an embarrassment to the world that people could grow up and think this is quality; someone should be teaching people that this is shit.

I agree one hundred percent. The fact that people actually sit down and listen to this garbage is baffling to me. I think most people do it just to fit in with the popular crowd. But there are those select few people who actually think this type of music is phenomenal stuff. And those people need to get some good stuff thrown at them so they can recognize the stuff they listen to as crap.

That's not a good drunk song! I dig me some house over that any (intoxicated) night. That's my other guilty pleasure, I really love just dancing until I can't feel myself anymore to some really ear-splittingly, soul-shakingly, breath-takingly loud house or dance or trance or whatever it's called they play in clubs (I'm bad at genres).

now im not defending the artistic (ha) merit of the song, i just feel guilty enjoying it so much. It has to be cause in high/drunk, and madd bitches love shaking every body part along to the super simplistic beat. It really has nothing to do with the lyrics, just how much it gets errrvrybody twosteppin' and such. You can hate all you want, i'll still be bouncing everytime it comes on, at least when im playing beer pong that is.

Speaking of simple beat, I can't stand most of the new rap beats, too. They are just so overdone, and/or retarded. They steal like some nursery rhyme crap and lay it down. Why don't people make beats like they did in the 90's?! Whenever I hear some "Gin and Juice" or "Ain't Nothin' But A G Thang" beat kick on, that is what makes me move. Another terrible rap song is that RETARDED “Chain Hang Low” or whatever. Anyone know that song?
