I think these songs are essential Cohen songs, but I especially like his style of the late 60s and early 70s before his voice became gruff: 'Suzanne' 'Master Song' 'Stranger Song' 'Avalanche' 'Joan Of Arc' 'The Partisan' 'Seems so long ago, Nancy' [my favorite Cohen song!]

^That King Crimson album is so damn good, about as good of a number one choice as you can make. The rest of your list is awesome too by the way.

wow, "bug" is really high, but is a really good choice, not one i see much this high on lists, which is a bad thing. "illinois" is fucking stunning. the only album i don't like, that i have heard, is "nevermind", but that is because i don't like nirvana, dinosaur jr. is better, in my opinion. two sonic youth's at one and two, that is nuts, but cool. i am going to have to listen to that second one, never heard it.

Ya, I know what you mean, but I dig Nirvana more than Dinosaur Jr., even if it is ever so slightly. Confusion is Sex is bliss.

Well, I should probably give a new top ten then to get in the spirit of things. Brand New is pretty awesome by the way, a bunch of my friends up here are really into them and I've been hearing their records all semester. I never thought I would be into their sound, but they really are a good band.
1. Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run 2. The Beatles- White Album 3. Jimi Hendrix Experience- Axis: Bold as Love 4. Modest Mouse- The Moon and Antarctica 5. Neutral Milk Hotel- In the Aeroplane Over the Sea 6. Wu-Tang Clan- Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) 7. Daft Punk- Alive 2007 8. Led Zeppelin- Houses of the Holy 9. Deadmau5- Random Album Title 10. Rush- Hemispheres

Yeah, Brand New is great. Even though it's kind of generic, I really like Your Favorite Weapon, but the last three records are all incredible. Great live show, too.
