Which albums are your top ten most wanted right now?
What are the top ten albums that you must get and it's only a matter of time before you do?
Here are my TOP TEN MOST WANTED:
1. Peter Gabriel - Passion (1989) [Soundtrack]
This is divine music for the soul, I've had the pleasure of listen to it once and it's sounds of magic! This is obligatory for me!
2. Motorpsycho - Trust Us (1998)
A double-album with so much to give, I've heard some of these marvellous songs live in concert, so I must get this!
3. Leonard Cohen - Songs From Leonard Cohen (1968)
Cohen's amazing debut, I want this so badly 'cos the only chance I got to listen to his songs from this album is from my DVD copy of McCabe & Mrs. Miller.
4. Tom Waits - Mule Variations (1999)
Brilliant record from Waits, 'Chocolate Jesus' is my fav track and the mood of it all is just goood... One of my top-5 of Waits'.
5. A Prairie Home Companion (2006) [Original Soundtrack]
Wonderful film with wonderful music, I adore the songs from Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin, they make me smile. Gotta have it!
6. John Lee Hooker - Hooker (2006) [Box Set]
The only blues I really enjoy listening to. This is a best-of-set of boogieblues at it's most original. Features more atmosphere than guitar-solos and Hooker's lyrics inspire me to drink strong coffee, smoke cigarettes and put on a hat.
7. King Crimson - Red (1974)
A progressive rock masterpiece! A psychedelic journey I must experiance again and again, a MUST in my prog rock collection!
8. Edward Artemiev - Solaris, The Mirror, Stalker - Music From The Motion Pictures (2002) [Soundtrack]
Mystical, classical and weird synthdriven art-music from Tarkovksy's composer. I like the scores alot from these films. I like Stalker's music the best. A great addition to my filmmusic section of my CD collection.
9. Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (') (1974)
Hilarious music with groove and 70's vibe! I like most of Zappa's music and especially HOT RATS. I've briefly listened through this one and some of the tracks cracks me up. A very entertaining album.
10. The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground (1969)
This band has grown on me, first I did'nt appreciate 'em. I thought their music was too strange and offbeat, but after a while I decided to give 'em a new shot and I got hooked on 'The Velvet Underground & Nico' album. I feel I must expand my VU experiance with this one. The song 'The Murder Mystery' is fantastic!
