Sorry for being a day late with these, I got a couch in my room yesterday and didn't really have time to go online too much.


DVD'S I'LL BUY

The Departed - I will probably end up buying this based on your guy's opinions and on my parents. Apparently Best Buy and Target have specials going on with limited edition packaging , so check those out.

Marie Antoinette - Such a fun film, I really look forward to checking this film out again to see how much it holds up.

Ginger & Fred - My fucking strong love for Fellini means that I will buy this, but also since I believe andruni was pimping it to me a while back.

Performance - Blind-buying this based on the fact that I have been dying to see this film for years, and it is Roeg!

DVD'S I'LL RENT

Bicycle Thieves (Criterion) - Sorry about not buying this right off the bat but I want to see it first, there is like a %.00001 chance it will not be good, but I can't take that chance.

Gandhi: 25th Anniversary Edition - beed would probably cut a sack off if I didn't see this film, so I will.

Green For Danger (Criterion) - This looks like it could be a lost gem of a film. I can't wait to check this one out.

Paul Robeson: Portraits Of The Artist (Criterion) - Not hugely interested but I will check the films out sometime.

The U.S. Vs. John Lennon - Is this suppose to be good? If so I will check it out, if not, then no.

DVD'S I'LL IGNORE

Bug Buster - No thank you.

The Butcher Boy - Probably eh?

F**K - This might be a fun documentary to check out if it is on TV or something, but I would never waste money on it.

Half Nelson - Nah.

Infamous - No.

Infernal Affairs Box Set - I may rent the first one sometime.

Infernal Affairs 2 - Maybe if I like the first one.

Infernal Affairs 3 - Same as above.

The Loneiness Of The Long Distance Runner - Good?

The Love Songs - Any good?

The Mr. Moto Collection: Volume Two - Set inclues four classic films: Mr. Moto's Gamble, Mr. Moto In Danger Island, Mr. Moto Takes A Vacation, and Mr. Moto's Last Warning.

Police Story 2 - No.

The Quiet - Ugh.

School For Scoundrels - No.

Steve Martin: The wild And Crazy Collection - No thanks.

Tom Hanks: Comedy Favorites Collection - Stupid.

I am buying Performance and Marie Antoinette as soon as possible!!!!!! The Departed, I am going to buy some time, and I want to see it SO bad! Ginger & Fred ill will see sometime. Bicycle Thieves looks good and I will watch it sometime. Gandhi I need to see. Green For Danger I am buying, it looks fantastic. Paul Robeson: Portraits Of The Artist looks really good. The U.S. Vs. John Lennon I wont be seeing, but I would watch it. Fuck, I want to see. Volver needs to come out on region one.

I've already ordered The Departed. I might check out the Infernal Affairs movies eventually as a means of comparison to departed.

don't know, i'm probably not gonna get it in the mail 'til about monday or so. i'll post my thoughts eventually, though.

The features on the Departed seem good. The Scorsese on Scorsese documentary is fantastic. It's the only one I've watched, because I haven't seen the film yet, and it's a general Scorsese thing, so there you go.
