Peter Pan Platinum Edition - I buy all the Disney Platinum editions, so this is no exception. I am behind on buying a few, but I normally find these things for $5 in a few months, so that is when I get them.

Revenge Of The Nerds: Special Edition - So bad I may buy it.

DVD'S I'LL RENT

Fast Food Nation - It is Linklater, I have to check it out. I hope he doesn't disappoint.

Night Of The Comet - This sounds like such a pile of crap that I have to check it out, if I find a way to see this for free I will, if not, I will probably waste a rental on it someday.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan - My dad is going to rent this, so I don't have to. I don't know if I will watch it, but I probably will. It looks funny.

The Return Of Frank James - It's Fritz Lang.

Commissar - This film looks fucking stunning. Anyone heard anything about this?

Quiet Flows the Don - Christ, 330 minutes. This looks interesting, I will have to check it out.

definitely gonna check out Borat. I'm very disappointed in myself for never seeing it in the theater.

Overall, there have been some good DVD releases over the past couple of months, but nothing's got my wallet excited enough to go out and buy any of it.

Oh man, thank God you caught that. I knew I had already put that, but when I looked I didn't see it. The reason for that is, the first time I added it to the list I didn't realize DVDBeaver had it on their 'release list' which is usually a good list for the "good" films each week. So that is when I started being more interested in it.

I am going to get rid of the one that says "no" now.

I know it'd also take a bit of effort, but I would highly recommend you also spend a couple minutes looking into EACH AND EVERY movie, instead of just like "yup, looks good" or "nope, looks like shit." I mean, I don't feel like responding to that; it's like you're just going to knock off any movie that you haven't heard of, just based off of what the cover looks like.

You know, explain why you think "No." Why?

I mean, shit, you don't have to buy everything on these lists each week, but just a little bit of thought would go a long way. Like I said, I have responded to some previous weeks, but lately, I just don't feel like having to convince you that your "No, looks like shit" is not quite what you were trying to say. I mean, I do understand this takes effort, but if you just kind of quick breeze through it, doesn't really open a good dialogue for other people.

I think if someone is that interested they could go to imdb themselves and read about the movie. I figured this thread was to alert everyone about what DVDs are coming out, not a sin review for each one. I say if you think the movie looks like shit based on the cover or the fact that it stars Hilary Duff, go ahead and post that. Why would u need to explain why you wouldn't buy 'The Full Montey'? It makes perfect sense to just put the words 'tripe shite' next to it and move along to the next release.
