Sorry I am late with this, as I said before, I have been watching a lot of film and reading, just chilling really, so I haven't been online that much.
DVD'S I'LL BUY
Early Bergman: Eclipse Series I - Ingmar Bergman box set which includes Torment, Crisis, Port Of Call, Thirst, and To Joy. Yes! Most people probably already know how much I love Bergman, and how much I want this set. I am seriously dying to get this, and DVDBeaver gave it fantastic reviews, so I can't wait. I have so much to get before this sadly, but I will try and get it when I can.
DVD'S I'LL RENT
Children Of Men - I have heard nothing but amazing things about this film, and my dad already added it to my queue, it is coming up in a couple flicks actually. I am hoping I won't be let down after hearing all this praise.
Curse Of The Golden Flower - I actually don't know much about this film, I was interested when I heard it was by the dude who did House of Flying Daggers, but is this any good? If it is, then I will check this out.
Color Me Kubrick - Malkovich pretends he is Kubrick, yes you heard me. I have been totally wanting to see this ever since andruini told me about it like a year ago, I am glad I will finally get a chance. Has anyone heard anything good about this?
Tempest - I can't believe it, Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands in a film, it is suppose to be a loose adaptation of Shakespeare. I will actually check this out, based on the ACTORS. That is insane, I normally never do that, but these two are just too good. If anyone knows anything about this that would be great, since I know nothing about it.
A Bullet for the General - Blue Underground release of a film called "one of the best spaghetti westerns ever made" with Kinski in it, yeah, I must see this. If anyone knows anything more about this please share, since this is a complete blind buy.
Little Dieter Needs to Fly - Anchor Bay Herzog film. Ebert says, "Unforgettable...Astonishing." Anyone seen this?
DVD'S I'LL IGNORE
Versus - This plot sounds insane, if I heard correctly this film has zombies AND samurai? If that is true, than I defintely will think about seeing this, or if anyone knows anything good about this?
Pursuit Of Happiness - Looks like complete cliched crap (C.C.C), I can't believe this got any praise at all, it doesn't look even a tiny bit good. Smith's performance might be good, but I am going to skip this.
After Dark Horrorfest: Films To Die For - Box set includes seven films: Unrest, Reincarnation, The Gravedancers, The Hamiltons, Wicked Little Things, Dark Ride, and Penny Dreadful. Complete crap horror films that are just crappy rip-offs. I get sick of all these supper low-budget horror films that come out, that not only are not original, but also look like shit.
The Blue Bird - PLOT: "Mytyl and her brother Tyltyl, a woodchopper's children, are led by the Fairy Berylune on a magical trip through the past, present, and future to locate the Blue Bird of Happiness." I am not a Temple fan myself, and this just seems like a family film that I wouldn't have much interest in seeing, so I will pass this.
Candy - PLOT: "A poet (Ledger) falls in love with an art student (Cornish) who gravitates to his bohemian lifestyle -- and his love of heroin. Hooked as much on one another as they are on the drug, their relationship alternates between states of oblivion, self-destruction, and despair. " Doesn't sound interesting at all to me really, so unless anything has anything to say about this, I am skipping it. The cover does look like they are trying to pass it off as some kind of "indie" film or something though.
Comeback Season - PLOT: "Walter Pearce (Liotta), a married man, tries to win back his wife (Headley) after cheating on her. Pearce enlists the help of the local high school football star (Sipos) to help him. " That sounds like one of the worst plots I have ever heard, I mean I like Liotta but seriously.
A Darren Aronofsky Collection: Requiem For A Dream and Pi - Love the guy, and think he gets unfairly hated, and I have only seen Requiem. I want to see Pi a lot, and will watch it soon, but I have to pass on this "collection", it is only two films and just seems stupid to have.
A Happy Feet - Do I really have to say why I don't want to see this? Yet another CG animated animal film, that is poorly written and only made to make money.
A Heartbreak High - "When they play... everybody scores!" No, just no. About two football teams, stop right there, no interested. Especially since you add that it is an 80's comedy, no interest in this film at all.
A The Judi Dench Collection - The Cherry Orchard (two versions), Taking To A Stranger, Keep An Eye On Amelie, Make And Break, Langrishe Go Down, Absolute Hell, Ghosts, Can You Hear Me Thinking?, and Going Gently. I am pretty sure she is a great actress, but really, do I need to own a collection of her films? These collections never excite me. What is the point of having a collection of ACTORS films, I can kinda see a director collection, because then you can have retrospectives of his films or some shit, but actors just act in a film, they don't make them, and they can be hit or miss.
Pebble And The Penquin: The Family Fun Edition - PLOT: "A lovable but introverted penguin named Hubie plans to present his betrothal pebble to the bird of his dreams." Are you kidding me? Why do films like these get released before some actual good films? This is seriously a waste of disc.
Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes - Pumpkinhead, ah bad horror, my favorite. I would never see this before seeing the first and second though, and I doubt they are going to be terrible enough to make me want to see this pile of shit. New horror films make me sick.
Roman - PLOT: "A lonely young man's obsession with his neighbor gets the best of him, resulting in a murder, a cover-up ... and a potential new romance?" Never seen or heard of this, but the plot doesn't really interest me. I would see it if someone had something good to say about it, but if not, then no.
Sex Sells - "In the raunchy tradition of films such as ORGAZMO comes SEX SELLS." I actually like Orgazmo, but this does not sound good. It is a mockumentary and is brand new. Anything about this would be good, but I doubt I will see this.
Stand Up And Cheer - Another Temple joint, same as the last one, not really my cup of tea.
Touristas - Another cliched new horror film, I mean just look at the trailers they have been showing, I can't believe these KEEP GETTING MADE! If this is for some reason better than the thousands of others exactly like it, tell me.
National Lampoon's Van Wilder 2: The Rise Of Taj - This is complete shit before I ever see it. These are the films you know suck, and don't even have to know anything about it. I doubt people who liked the first Van Wilder would even want to see this shit.
The Charge of the Light Brigade - Curtiz film about "A major countermands orders and attacks to revenge a previous massacre of men, women and children. " Some positive reviews too, but a film I would never just go and see, but one I might watch if it was on TCM.
The Errol Flynn Signature Collection, Vol. 2 (The Charge of the Light Brigade / Gentleman Jim / The Adventures of Don Juan / The Dawn Patrol / Dive Bomber) - Again, same as the other actor box set, not interesting.
The Gospel According to St. Matthew - This is colorized, that may be the dumbest thing to ever happen. The film is one of the best films I have ever seen, and the black and white adds to the film so much, why add color??! Don't get this version, but do see this film.
Keoma - Another Blue Underground western, I would gladly rent this with the other one, but I would like to here if this is good, since it doesn't look as good as the other.
School for Scoundrels - "Based on the Stephen Potter "One Upmanship" and "Lifemanship" books, Henry Palfrey tries hard to impress but always loses out to the rotter Delauney. Then he discovers the Lifeman college run by "Professor" Potter and discovers the secrets of success. But has he the courage to put all his lessons into effect ? "
Texas, Adios - I'll probably just rent this, but it is another Blue Underground release. I want to know if anyone knows anything about it?
Woman Is the Future of Man - "Like Wong Kar-wai and Tsai Ming-liang, New Korean Cinema luminary Hong Sangsoo marries Asian and European sensibilities. Michael Atkinson in The Village Voice cannily dubbed him "the love child Antonioni and Hou Hsiao-hsien never had," while Woman Is the Future of Man could be described as a postmodern, post-romantic riff on Rashomon and Jules and Jim." This really sounds amazing, if anyone knows anything about it, please tell me. I would like to rent it, but just can't bring myself to.

Bigas Luna Collection - "Filmmaker Bigas Lunas is one of the most successful filmmakers to emerge from his native Spain. His films often mix humour and eroticism, are sometimes brutal, yet always original. This collection includes four of the director's most well-known films: GOLDEN BALLS, JAMON JAMON, THE TIT AND THE MOON and THE AGES OF LULU."

The Leos Carax Collection (Boy Meets Girl, The Night is Young and Pola X) - "Three modern classics from French filmmaker Leo Carax - BOY MEETS GIRL, THE NIGHT IS YOUNG and POLA X."
The Page Turner - "This taught and suspenseful thriller follows the calculating Melanie as she infiltrates the family of Ariane; a celebrated pianist. Initially hired as nanny to Ariane's son, Melanie's consummate professional facade masks a dark heart; one that seeks revenge upon her new employer. Presenting herself as someone with a great interest in music, Melanie is asked to become Ariane's page turner, thus proving to be indispensable, and thus aligning herself ready to exact a long-burning desire for retribution."
Wim Wenders Collection - The Scarlet Letter (1973), Notebook on Cities and Clothes (1975), The American Friend (1977), The Wrong Move (1979), Lightning Over Water (1980), Tokyo-Ga (1985), Room 666 (1985), Trick of the Light (1995), Wings of Desire (1987) - I have seen two of the films and they are both fantastic, everyone should pick this up. Wenders seems like he is a master and Wings of Desire looks fantastic.
