They're from the future until we can figure out some way of bringing them home to store in our freezers of the future(s). Then they'll be the ice cream of the present, and the present would be just a little bit cooler.

Oops. Sorry. Dippin' Dots is an ice cream snack invented by Southern Illinois University graduate Curt Jones in 1987. The confection is created by flash freezing ice cream mix in liquid nitrogen. The resulting small spheres of ice cream are stored at temperatures ranging from 20 to 70 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (from -29°C to -57°C). The marketing slogan is "Ice Cream of the Future". I haven't ever had them, but I'm always seeing them everywhere. I think I usually opt for the bigger, cheaper soft serve, I don't know.

Get them next time you are out, you won't regret it. If they have banana split, you will probably just have an orgasm after your first bite, yes, they are that good. I feel sorry for all people who don't have access to these.

$5 for whats essentially a a scoop of ice cream isn't worth it, plus regular ice cream tastes hella better imo.

an "oh god" towards both of you! banana flavor is amazing, i have a whole bag of like 50 banana popsicles right now, i may just go have one. i love all banana flavored things!! and carl, man, i know it is expensive and all, but it is just so damn good. i think it crushes regular ice cream, maybe 'cause it feels more like a treat, whereas ice cream is just plain. whenever i get dippin' dots i just love them so much. i wish you could buy them like you can regular ice cream.

my parents bought me and my brother dippin' dot things that are in the freezer, and they are soo good. i tried looking up a picture of them on the net, but couldn't find any, so i am going to have to take 'em myself. the flavors we got are sour berry and banana split (yay!).
