First off, ie. I don't want a PS3, either. None of the games interest me until Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out, and I'm not willing to pay 600 dollars to play one game.
Now, Dan. I suppose you're right, there, however, I have found that whenever I do play PC games, I get somewhat bored (with a few exceptions). I never said "consoles are so much better than PC lol!!!111!" I just would like to point out that I prefer consoles in general. Mainly, because my favorite games are on console.
Can we please end this debate? I don't hate PCs. I like at least a good dozen games, and I'm sure there would be more if I had a good enough computer for them. I just don't play games enough as it is to be willing to spend more than a few hundred dollars on any sort of gaming system.
By the way, ie, it seems you're just doing this to play devil's advocate, as, from what I can tell from previous posts, I enjoy many of the same games you do.

PC games are great and all, but I started my true gaming obsession on console's, so thats where it'll stay. I do love me some Command and Conquer III though.

i just met a girl who has one of these, so i might finally get to play it. i have wanted to play it for SO LONG. it seems like it could be super fun.

Its the shit. I got about 40 hours into RE4 in the past month, its by far the best Wii game out so far. By the end of this year we'll be seeing Mario Soccer, Battallion Wars 2, Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros and a bunch of other tight shit.

oh man, i need to check out metroid prime 3 so bad. my brother would probably kill to get a wii and buy that. i am not sure what games she has, though, but i will find out sometime.

This feels like a fad to me. Nintendos console is boring after a while. Swing your arm, flick your wrist, the variation runs thin. Though I haven't played any of the fuller games but they don't appeal to me greatly anyway.

I forgot to say that I got one of these for Christmas. Very fun, though Wii sports does get tiresome after awhile. The two Marios games I got were very fun though.

Definitely get either Madden 08 (cause I know you like football) or Super Mario Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy is the shit. It is probably the best Mario game since Super Mario Brothers 3 on NES. Metroid Prime 3 is great. If you're into RPGs (no idea if you are) the new Fire Emblem is pretty cool.
