Depending on how this concept goes, we could have one per console, but right now I'm most interested in seeing Chris's NES collection. Honestly, I never thought he'd be interested in NES games, as a good 95% to 99% of gamers younger than me have no interest in older games, so it fascinates me to no end. How long have you been collecting NES games? Do Dan and Tim also collect NES games? Whose footprints are these?

You have Super Glove Ball but no Power Glove, shame on you.

Well, to my dismay, my parents sold off a lot of the NES games they had back in the day. They only kept the best ones apparently. So why sell Metroid and Tecmo Super Bowl? Whatever.

I just recently got back into older video games after getting the Wii and buying some stuff on the Virtual Console. I think Tim and Dan both have NES's, but I'm not sure how many games they actually have. I'd assume they have more than I do.

Eh, the Power Glove isn't exactly common, and Super Glove Ball was one of my Wisconsin haul. I bought something like ten NES games from this one-of-a-kind awesome game shop in downtown Green Bay, and had to figure out how to put them all on my luggage on the plane. Even if it flat out REQUIRED the Power Glove to play, which it's surprisingly decent without it, it was $3 and boxed. At that price, you'd buy Battle Tank. Not to keep, but to sell to some poor chap like me for a profit.

I can see the hate for Battle Tank, but as a clone of Battlezone, you can't say that THIS is one of the worst games ever. I recall the Terminator games to be quite poor, and besides, there are plenty of piss poor games on the NES. That's what you get when you have a large collection of games for a console. Good diversity, some crap.


Yeah, I know that story well. Fortunately, my parents always had a strong sense of autonomy with my stuff, so we've actually kept a lot of stuff. (Slowly getting rid of the kids toys, even.) Though small, it does pack a one-two-three punch with Mega Man 1-3. I think I only have two of them. And I don't even have Battletoads. So, good work.

Get Tim and Dan on here to post their collections, man. I know you can do it!

Yea, I was just kidding around about the Power Glove. I've never used it, but I've heard that it doesn't work very well anyway.

Terminator is really awful, probably worse than Battle Tank now that I've revisited both of them.

Tim comes to the forum, so I assume he will see this thread and reply. But I dunno if Dan would be interested in posting here. I'll see what I can do.

Well, yeah, everyone I know knows that the Power Glove is bad. That's why it's good.

See? The NES was littered with bad platformers. I consider them to be bad when it's either hard to attack, jump, or the game is just thoroughly unimpressive. I probably just described Terminator.


Yup, I saw Tim online last night (morning for him), but he never posted anything! For shame!

With Dan, you can just remind him a couple times and he might post for a couple days. We are starting to get really active again, and none of it is really movie related.

I will try my best, though.

I don't blame him. I've seen far too many movies that just did nothing for me at all. I feel burned, and am not interested in trying more. I mean, samurai and animation are exempt, but why would I try to go watch Gone With The Wind? I wouldn't get anything out of it, there'd be no point.

I can always talk to him on AIM too I guess... It will be a community wide effort. Okay, maybe two or three people, but same thing these days.
