Well, since I've actually watched this movie, I might as well copy my review from the forum I go to over here. Shock Corridor - 6/10 -- Not particularly recommended, but wasn't that bad (rental only) The first part of this review will not deal with the movie itself. That's for the second part, as I watched this in short bursts, essentially. We bring up the Criterion Collection on occasion as being this grand company that devotes itself tirelessly to the restoration of older movies. You know, clean up the scratches, the holes, the little minor things that distract us. For the most part - I can name the Seventh Seal and Yojimbo as two examples where they did this quite well - they clean up movies and make the presentation flawless. Well, they don't always. So, how's the movie? Well, it's essentially a pulpy B-movie about insanity. This article does help shed light on some of the more profound things presented in the movie, but honestly, it's not that noteworthy. There were some highlights to it - Rashomon theme in the middle and "I am impotent... and I like it!" - but I'm sure you could read about a bulk of the highlights on this second link if you're really interested. Overall, I really only brought it up because I wanted to say I watched the movie.

Sounds like this movie might get a re-release. So this means they're actually going to clean up Shock Corridor? Wow. I don't really care for it, as there are many other better and more noteworthy movies, but whatever. I don't hate it or anything, I just could not recommend it.
