Woah, this is an incredible film, definitely one of my favourites. Cronenberg builds a creepy and sombre mood right from the beginning and for two hours it never lets up, right up to the sad and bleak conclusion. The first time I watched this I had to take a walk half way through just to make it to the end. Powerful stuff.

Very powerful. Made even more powerful by Irons performance. It is one of the best I have ever seen.
