This film is good but I do not think it is good enough for Criterion.

The best thing about the film is that it contains so much graphic dialogue, and yet it is so sentimental.

Yes the film is great but its not good enough. Clerks should be criterion.

and i love chasing amy i just dont think it has the thing that most criterions are

Just because Clerks isn't Criterion and deserves to be, doesnt mean this cant be. Its a great film!

Mine is very similar. 1. Clerks 2. Chasing Amy 3. Dogma 4. Mallrats 5. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.... then way after 6. Jersey Girl. It is awful. The only good part of it is Carlin. It is probably worth seeing just for him.

Clerks and Chasing Amy are MUCH better than Dogma. I mean, I liked it, but it was a little too far-reaching, trying to be the Life of Brian for the 90's, it just couldn't live up.
