Despite what many think, it should not be on Criterion. I love B movie horror and Mcqueen. But this a film about giant jello. Cmon, think about it. GIANT JELLO!

It is not like they pretend like this is fact. It is a sci-fi film. That is a sci-fi element. You are just crazy for not liking this masterpiece.

Ok, I guess I am crazy. I did like the remake better. One of the few remakes I actually like.

Yeah I also liked the remake but it wasn't as good as this imo.

I re-watched the film with one of the commentaries on this disc, the Jack Harris one. It was fantastic how much information he had and he kept it interesting, and whenever he didn’t have something to say, which was rarely, a historian would fill you in with some cool facts. I was surprised to hear all the Jack Harris/Steve McQueen stories, and how much they disagreed. I was thoroughly entertained by the film and commentary and can recommend both, since both are great fun. I look forward to the director commentary too. Also this DVD comes with an amazing poster that I will take a picture of and post in this thread.
