The Killers (Siodmak, Robert 1946 IMDB)

God I love film noir. This is a classic noir film. It’s a great story using flashbacks to help a detective solve a mystery as to why two hit men would come in to a small town and kill a guy for no reason. The film unravels perfectly, the flashbacks are great in unavailing more of the film. Love the dialogue from noir films. And the use of black and white is great, which is obviously helped by a great Criterion transfer. This film is easy to recommend and to watch especially if you like film noir. Anyone on here seen this?

The Killers (Siegel, Don 1964 IMDB)

Just as good as the other The Killers but in a completely different way; the movie is basically the exact opposite of the 1946 version. That version was film noir this film is as bright as they get. Love Lee Marvin in this. The film did get kind of cheesy in a few parts but that’s what I like about the film. The ending will made me shit my pants its so good! Very entertaining film and the DVD set is highly recommended.

I forgot to put a rating for the other, but they are both 8/10’s.
