I waited to read your review until I saw the film. I wanted to go in blind. But now that I have seen the film and read your review I agree completely. The most heartbreaking, like you said, was the part in the garage when they laugh at her. That hit me very hard. A love story between two opposite people never worked so well. It is just a wonderful film. I am dying to see more from this man.

I agree completely with both of you. Ali was a truly heartbreaking film. Can't wait to see more Fassbinder.

Loved this film, but I didn't like the end that much. Still had very good acting and many great shots.
