259 - Fat Girl

The film starts off and I was really digging it, it seemed to show a relationship between sisters that I hadn’t ever seen and it seemed very true to me; realistic. And it also was a great tale of jealous, the fat girl being jealous of her sister. Everything was fine, acting-wise, especially as the two leads, give fantastic performances, but now comes the end…

It just hit me upside my head with a big ol’ “fuck you!” It didn’t seem to fit the story AT ALL, but it certainly left an impression. I feel that the girl was so built up with jealous and rage that she let him rape her. But there are other interpretations that come to mind. Could it have been a dream? Or could it have actually been the fat girl who killed them? Either way I would like to hear some thoughts.

A great film, but something about that end just wasn’t right. I also think that the mom’s character could have been fleshed out more, without interfering with the two sisters’ relationship. I really can’t decide what to rate this, but I am leaning towards 8 out of ten, for being a very good film up until the end. Not saying the end took away from the film, it just really threw me a curve; one that I can’t quite grasp.

But seriously, an excellent relationship and an interesting one that goes deep into the minds of how girls (or sisters) think and act towards each other. But Christ, that ending! It will stick with me for months now.

I can't help but think of Kalata when I think of this film. I think watching this film would remind me too much of him and would probably make me feel very sad. I don't think I could watch it.

(Kalata is a fat kid who goes to our school*) Well she is naked in this film so you might want to steer clear of this one, although I advise you to just think of ptahole while watching, it might better get you through it.

Well to keep thread going, I just watched the alternate ending and boy did it suck balls. I am so glad they used the one they did, but can I really even say "glad" when it comes to this?
