Great film. Its too bad that Kurosawa and Ozu overshadow Mizoguchi so much. He deserves respect too. The blending of the real and the surreal is done well, just like the rest of the film.

I just bought this set from Amazon.com, I'm looking forward to see it - it's gonna be my first Mizoguchi ever!

You will not regret buying it! It is one of the best films I have ever seen. So haunting, just brilliant.

Do it, do it now! I am so close to re-watching this film, so I will post more comments on this film soon. All I have to say is order it because it is easily one of the best films ever made.
