A good samurai movie.  But not the best. Kobayashi did better five years earlier with a build-up format in Harakiri, even without Toshiro Mifune, and I'd probably rate it under Sword of Doom. Despite these qualms, Samurai Rebellion: Receive the Wife still deserves a 9/10. |
