I don't like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory anymore. And I hate how every Hot Topic bitch thinks he is the best thing ever. Big Fish is amazing and Ed Wood is fantastic. Those are his two best but he also has alot of other good films. But the fact that you joined those Hot Topic bitches with Burton love all of a sudden and shot him above Kubrick on your list just makes me sick to my stomach.

O God. Cmon, you are seriously not comparing them to me. I bet you none of them have even heard of Kurbrick let alone seen any of his stuff.

Big fish is good but all the others are average timefillers. He's just a director for the kids.

Ed Wood is a cool movie, the rest of them aren't much though.

This is friggin' nuts!!! Burton is one of the director's i've seen who has his own incredible style just oozing from every single film he crafts from his amazing imagination. The Nightmare Before Christmas is such a cult classic, and not just with kids; tons of teens or older walk around with merchandise or simply raving about the film. Edward Scissorhands delivered to the big screen [glow=red,2,300]Sir Johnny Depp[/glow] (not really a 'Sir' but hey), one of the most versatile and interesting actors today. Big Fish has to be my all time favourite; just cos it shows a different side to Burton's themes and abilities, and is done with such a heart-warming touch.
BURTON RULES!!!
charlie and the chocolate factory and planet of the apes aside...

BURTON RULES!!!charlie and the chocolate factory and planet of the apes aside... eh, he copies a lot from early german expressionism (?) with the crooked doors, and “odd” feeling, like in his film beetlejuice. i agree, he does have style, but i think he sometimes tries too hard to be that style, which can get annoying. if that makes any sense? and also, i don't think he directed nightmare before christmas, but i don't know how much influence on it he had, maybe you do? i do like depp in edward scissorhands, but he is much better in ed wood, in my opinion. have you seen that film? big fish is really underrated. why don't you see or hear people gushing about that, or wearing those shirts, instead they all worship his other works, which are very weak in comparison!
