Escape from New York is outdated, but incredibly fun in a schlock kinda way, and The Thing is one of the greatest psychological thrillers ever made.

O GOD, I loved Breathless so much, and Godard is obviously a tremendously talented guy and Peckinpah has made some classics also. I think I am going to have to go with Peck just because I have seen more of his stuff than I have of Godard.
