Idea stolen from Ptahole. Since the last one kinda ended. I will start a new one. The rules are simple. I will put two directors against each other, and you will vote for which one is better. The masters will not be pitted against each other early on, so dont worry. You cannot vote if you have not seen a film of one of the filmmakers. Once I have 7 votes, the battle is over. Also, if the needed seven notes are not gained for 24 hours after the battle has been posted, then I will close the battle also. I want this to move fairly briskly. It will be set up like a bracket, the seeds I will decide. First one will be up once I get the bracket ready.

I vote Lean, his films are better. Even though Brooks is a genious, his films are hit or miss.

Well, I am running it now since you decided to put Chaplin against Allen first round. Its not gonna be the one who wins moves on. Its just the fact that Lean was the battle in winner.

I don't see how that was a dumb idea. Hitchcock smokes almost anyone so Chaplin at least lost to one of the greatest. I am going with Leone.
