Dogtown just made me remember Dogville, which I'd watched a few days ago. I give it a 9/10, it's a very beautiful movie.
edit: Beautiful and disturbing. Extremely disturbing.

I actually thought about that while writing, I do need to see the film. You should start grading the films in the "Rate the Last Film..." thread, someone may have seen the film and want to comment, I don't know though.

Three for $10, no images because the second one didn't have the same cover: Heavy Metal 2000I saw bits of the original, thought it was the same as the one I saw, so I picked it up. I'm not sure if I'm just going to watch this, or try to rewatch the original first. As for the version, it's the Superbit version, so the extras aren't great. But this was a better choice than some of the other DVDs I was eyeing, so, hey, not too bad. Fist of FuryThis version of it, by Front Row Entertainment, is called the Chinese Connection. The screenshots on the back also look horribly budget label quality, but we'll see how it turns out. If anything, I have an excuse to get a better version of it. Triplets of BellevilleFind of the Month: January 2007 I don't know where the receipt went, so I don't think I could exchange any of them. But even if Heavy Metal 2000 isn't as nifty as I remember. Even if the Bruce Lee movie has a poor transfer. At least I got the Triplets of Belleville for $3.33. Fucking win. |
