I will post some thoughts in the Almodovar thread sometime about it. And I see what you mean eatawiiner, its like every Criterion announced I want to own it, sadly I don't have enough money.

Yeah, I cannot fucking wait to pick up When a Woman Ascends the Stairs, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it when you see it too. Will it be your first Naruse? And, don't have a heart attack, but I don't have the three-disc Seven Samurai yet (my 3rd favorite film).

1st Naruse, hopefully I can get the MoC set someday soon too. I've looked at that 7Sam set every dam time I go to Bestbuy, definitely have to consider double dipping during the next DDD sale.

I am hoping to get that too, but it is so damn expensive online, someday though. Yeah, I actually have two copies of the Seven Samurai one-disc, but I am dying to upgrade that. I think you mean "DD sale" now. But yeah, I can't wait for that sale, I will hopefully unload.

You wouldn't believe it, but the computer fucked out and wouldn't display any subtitles when I tried watching it. So I just watched The Graduate and I'm taking Hable con Ella to my friend who has a DVd player that works tomorrow.

Picked up The Double Life of Veronique over the weekend. Great movie, I cant believe someone thought up all the angled/reflected/beautiful shots. Truely amazing accomplishment in the world of cinema.

Picked up The Double Life of Veronique over the weekend. Great movie, I cant believe someone thought up all the angled/reflected/beautiful shots. Truely amazing accomplishment in the world of cinema. This is my favorite film. Seen it seven times, absolutely hypnotic. The most beautiful film to me. Irene Jacob is a very fine and talented actress, don't you think? I just blind bought L'Argent (1983) by Robert Bresson.

Congrats on the blind buy. L'Argent is a powerful film, perfect way to go out for Bresson.
I do love the double life, im not too familiar with Krzysztof Kieœlowski so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I left the film very satisfied with my $40 retail purchase. By the middle of the week i hope on watching it several more times, its is sooo beautiful and his muse lady is astonishing. Question, why did that dude flash Weronika when she gets dizzy? I laughed my ass off but didn't understand why he did it. Just a perv looking to show off his junk? Bravo either way.
