Hello, I'm me. My fav movies are anything by Tarantino, A.Payne, Jarmusch, Aronofsky, and Charlie Kaufman. Least favorite movies are anything that follows the basic cinematic format of Lifetime channel movies, anything cliche and that brings nothing new to the table as a movie. My favorite band is The Roots (its hip hop, not rap) and I'm convinced that The Seed 2.0 is the best song EVER. In closing, I'd like to say that I've successfully predicted exactly the last 4 NBA playoffs series by series.

Welcome, AlexL! According to your favorites (Smultronstället is my absolutely favorite at the moment) you sounds like someone who is serious about film. Hope that we can have some good discussions.

Thanks. I do have quite a few opinions on quite a few movies, so hopefully there will be something to talk about there.

Thanks, everyone, for the very warm welcome.
I know some of my opinions (on Kubrick) may not be as welcome as others (on my favorite movies), but I definitely have an interest in movies (I essentially spent my summer vacation watching movies), so I'm glad that my interest can liven things up.

I did a thorough write-up of my opinion of him over at the Stanley Kubrick thread. It'll answer your question and hopefully won't lead to flaming.
