Very nice grabs! How many more R.E.M. CD's do you need now?
Gish isn't their best by any means but is still great, definitely a good grab. And Jagged Little Pill is outstanding, one of my favorites.

Yeah, I told him to get that. It is probably my favorite R.E.M., although I still have some I haven't heard. I also tried to talk him into Monster, but he didn't buy it. I know it is one of their worst, if not thier worst, but it was $2, so it would have been worth it.

It's not their worst. Ever hear Around the Sun? Monster has some great songs on it.

I remember hearing somewhere that R.E.M.'s Monster is one of the most popular albums that used CD stores get for exchanges or returns, or something like that.
I forget the exact phrasing, and I'm not sure how reliable the source was, but you know, based off of how often you see it floating around, and how, well, little it stands out, that little fact does make sense.

The place I got mine at, CD Warehouse, has like over 10 copies of the CD, and they sell them all for so cheap. I got mine for, at most, $2.

It was also a really popular album in it's day, and it's kinda lumped in with all that "buzz rock" crap that was around in the mid nineties (like that "I Get Knocked Down" crap), so you see a lot of that stuff in used record stores. It is their second worst album, so it doesn't bother me.

You know, because you mentioned it, I'd like to bring up that very topic.
A few years ago, I decided to check out that Chumbawamba album you see everywhere. And you know what? It wasn't that bad. By that, I mean, if you don't listen to the hit single and just listen to the rest of the album, you wouldn't even really remember the hype or any of the weird names or anything. It's a pretty decent assortment of, well, it wasn't really your standard-grade rock music. It felt more influenced by electronic music than punk or even rock music.
I might give the album an 8/10. Maybe.
