Ha. I eventually figured out the cover with the awesome Storm Thorgerson photograph: Bury the Hatchet. I was about to ask on that one.

I have been fucking loving velvet underground and nico as of late. Check out some John Cale albums. He was a founding member of the Velvet Undergroud. I recommend Paris 1919 to start.

I don't love Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, but they are a good band. Here's a song off the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum Of Natural History, for interested parties: Phthisis

nonfiction, what do you think of whitelight/whiteheat? I got that and am amazed by how much feedback one could possibly fit on such a small album. Its different, took a few listening's driving down the interstate to get used to, but now 'im lovin' it'. how would you rank it among VU's finest?

The Boatman's Call is my favourite Nick Cave album yet to date! It's absolutely amazing, I got it about four months ago and I'm still listening to it every day! I just got Murder Ballads (1996), I haven't listened to it, have you?
One I really want, but have only heard is No More Shall We Part (2001). My dad owns it and he wouldn't let me take it!

Murder Ballads is an excellent record. I heard The Boatman's Call was better so I just had to pick it up.

I think it's the best so... Oh, and I forgot to mention, I have Kickin' Against The Pricks (1986) as well. I don't enjoy it as much, but any Nick Cave is brilliant to me.

Thats the one that most people seem to view as one of his lesser records. But lesser Cave is better than most great stuff so.... From Her to Eternity is the best Cave record I have heard so far.
