Wilco- Wilco (The Album)
This was a great solid Wilco record. Not as good as Summerteeth or Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, but as good as Being There or A Ghost is Born. Wilco's a band that never disappoints. My favorite album of the year so far.

Albums I've bought in the last few months: Bob Dylan The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan - An amazing album, I think after many listens I like this than something like Blonde On Blonde. On Freewheelin', every song is great, and I feel that an album like Blonde on Blonde has a few average tracks....
Bob Dylan - John Wesley Harding - Not as good as Freewheelin', but still some very good tracks, All along the watchtower being the obvious classic, one of the best ever songs by Dylan.
Grizzly Bear - Veckatamist- A brilliant album, fantastic soundscapes, every song feels so 100% completed it is quite an experience. Turn it up loud and close your eyes....
Jarvis Cocker - Further Complications. - A very entertaining, cool and fresh album by Jarvis. The 'live' quality recording is really worthwhile. Every song is decent, I'd say, but I never said I was deep and slush being album highlights.
21st Century Breakdown Green Day. - Ok, now, I passionately hated Green Days last album. I bought this though, because I really felt I should check out an album that has been hyped like almost nothing else this decade. Darn media! Anyway, it's actually a pretty excellent album, I'm embarassed to admit. There are a few average tracks but a few great ones actually. I'd say it's the best Green Day allbum since Nimrod. And I think it has some of the best drumming of the bands career on.
Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley band - Outer South. This time other members of the band sing songs which they also wrote, barely a good idea. At first I was really pissed off, afterall I bought the album because I'm in love with sound of Conor Obersts voice, not the other guys in the backing band. Anyway, the album is nothing as good as last years Oberst debut, but it has a few excellent tracks, and Oberst has turned a little bit more into Dylan, for better or worse. I've just typed this and I'm geting de ja vu. I may have typed a comment about this on here before, if I did, fuck it.
