Got in ten hours of work, which we'll just say is cool because that'll fill up my bank account. I pulled about 33 hours in three days, and if I had worked on Wednesday, I probably would have hit overtime today, but I probably would have bit it too. Sometimes you can work just a little bit too much to where you just want to make this reference: "I quit. So you don't have to pay me. Now leave me alone."

Went down to my old elementary school's playground and some other people there thought my friends and I were on crack.

It was the first Netball "practice" of the season (actually we just played 4-6 matches at breakneck speed against any and every team that rocked up), and this kind of sums it up:
Kayla (stumbling around, heaving, screaming in agony, unable to breathe): I THINK I'M GETTING ASTHMAAAAAA! Opponent: Or you just smoke too much. Kayla: Probably.

^^ Hahahaha
Can't say I've ever played netball.
The coolest thing I did today is pretty pathetic: I ate some chocolate.
Yeah...school is doing this to me.

I'm doing it now. If I don't feel like studying, I might put some time into it. I really don't see why we have to "decorate" it, though. A name is good enough.

I had a totally crazy time since Wednesday! I almost died!
Wednesday - Parents fly to Cape Town, leave me to fend for myself until Saturday. Damn. I write Business Studies. I stay at school for our choirfest - "Morehouse College Glee Club" from America, the Ekhuruleni Youth Choir from South Africa, our choir and another high school choir, all in one night. I almost died I was so tired. Slept over at some girl that was also in our choir with me. Total of six hours of sleep.
Thursday - Leave for school with abovementioned girl. Leave again with our drama group, to a girl IN it's house, to practice. Two of the four kids ALMOST don't pitch up. I freak out on them, we have to practice now. They remember they haven't finished their personal journals we have to hand in with our show. They do that, we get to bed at three with absolutely NO practice whatsoever. Two hours of sleep.
Friday - Freaking out slightly. I write a maths test on volume and surface and sin, cos and tan. Write my English SAT (Standard Aptitude Test) and I can't concentrate at all, I'm worried about our drama. We finish, get dressed, start drama and I get more worried. Everybody's shows ROCK. We get on, our mime's music doesn't start (STUPID SOUND GUYS!) and we look like idiots. WOOOHOOO! We leave right after our mime, to my friend's brother's 21st birthday party. We get drunk and smoke way too much. Total of one hour's sleep.
Saturday - Wake up with a huge headache and a strong urge to throw up, at HALF PAST FOUR because we need to leave for a farrrrrr place for a huge sportsfest. I play netball in a position (Wing Defence) I have to run about seven thousand times more than my usual position (Goalkeeper) and I almost die. We lose heavily. We leave. My friendwants her tongue pierced, we leave her house and get it pierced. My mom picks me up at about four, we leave for a Blues, Roots and Jazz Festival. It runs from roughly four to INFINITY. I stand in the sopping dredge and pouring rain for five hours, because I can't have a backstage pass, even though the lead singer of one of the headlining bands is my stepdad! I enjoy it a lot, play with little kids, get really wet. We leave. I get in the shower and straight into bed. PHEWWW!

I haven't done anything at all today, so the coolest thing I did today was go to Subway. I got the Chicken and Bacon Ranch foot long...yum.

I responded with something similar to what sacrilegend (since the name you posted here is apparently faaaake as well) posted, so here I'll just continue with the schooling thought. Finished my Senior Capstone last Thursday and this Monday I turned in internship papers and did a final for Problem Solving. I missed one question on the final and only missed three points in the entire class.
That was mostly because I made a bet with a classmate where if I got a 4.0 in the class, then he'd buy me dinner somewhere. I was like "Kobe beef?" to which he was like "huh?" and I explained to him the errs in his ways: Kobe beef is perhaps the world's most expensive beef, where a plateful would cost you somewhere around $200. Although the slippery little bastard was trying to get out of it until I said that he had to man up to it, then he offered me $20 plus a fiver he owes me, so I might talk him up to $40 even.
And guess what? That was fuckin' ON TOPIC! HUH. Oh, also cool: I listened to about ten albums today... CDs from the library: Bodysong by Jonny Greenwood, Blame the Vain by Dwight Yoakam, Songs from a Room by Leonard Cohen, Serpent's Egg by Dead Can Dance, self titled by Vieux Farka Touré and From Nubia to Cairo by Ali Hassan Kuban. Else: Taara by Baaba Maal, Hotel California by the Eagles, Illmatic by Nas and Big Shots by Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf.

I figured Korn went by the wayside about 10 years ago. There's a band name I haven't heard since middle school...

What are you talking about, ie? Everything! You know, there's just something really wrong about calling KoRn an international band. It... just... no. Even if you're from another country.

^To be honest, the only band I would have been interested in seeing at that festival is Muse. And I don't even really care for them that much.

I got my ticket for free an hour before the line-up started, I didn't go for ANY of the bands, I don't like one of them, but Muse... Oh my word. I was dumbstruck. Maybe it was the weed I was smoking, but they really touched my inside.
