It's Impossible to Learn How to Plow By Reading Books (6/10) 9. Bad News Bears (5/10)

Element of Crime - Visually astonishing! The story is a bit out of focus and not that easy to really "get", but the visuals make the film quite satisfying. 7/10

Say Anything... (Cameron Crowe; 1989) Rewatched this. A fantastic, perfect film. Crowe's best after Almost Famous. Not one "off" moment. Wonderful. 10/10

License to Drive (Beeman, Greg 1988 IMDB) 7/10 Hilarious 80's cheese! Team-up of The Corey's. I was rolling on the ground while watching this film. So much fun and I wish I could give it a 10 for cheese alone, but I will just give it a 7. lol

Confidential Report (aka. Mr. Arkadin) Excellent camerawork, but totally uninteresting plot makes this film Welles`weakest of those I`ve seen (Citizen Kane, Touch of Evil, The Stranger). 5/10 TenbraeNice little thriller/horror/giallo-film with poor acting, but wonderful directing. Argento impressed me more with Suspiria, but this one was also great fun. I ecspecially liked the scene with the dog chasing the girl. Highly entertaining film from start to finish. 8/10

The Princess Bride (Rob Reiner; 1987) A brilliant comic fantasy. Goldman's screenplay is filled with great one-liners and jokes. I won't repeat any here, as it has become trite, but they are still hilarious. 10/10 Gojira-Minira-Gabara: Oru kaijû daishingeki (Godzilla's Revenge; Ishiro Honda; 1969) This is one of the funniest movies I've seen all year. The dub is so funny it hurts. How couldn't you like a movie with a talking, bug-eyed, kid dinosaur? This description will win you over: Brilliant. 3/10

Versus 8/10 A bad-ass zombie/action flick. The most fun I have had watching a movie in a long time. The plot is pretty weird but the action scenes are superb. Dan, I think this might be the film for you.

Dazed and Confused. This film changed my life. i just realised how i'm wasting my life sitting here on this computer. i mean, who do i even write those bad reviews for? criterionmaster? i don't think so. it's all about kicking back and chillin. And i'm gonna start doing it. yea. so if i don't post here as regularly as before, i'm probably out chillin. peace. 10/10 I told you it was great! Versus 8/10 A bad-ass zombie/action flick. The most fun I have had watching a movie in a long time. The plot is pretty weird but the action scenes are superb. Dan, I think this might be the film for you. I'll check it out sometime! Sounds pretty sweet.

She’s Gotta Have It (Lee, Spike 1986 IMDB) 9/10Good little film from Spike Lee. I was very surprised, I didn’t think I was going to like it that much for some reason, but I really loved this. Each character is funny with their own unique characteristics. Good performances and great script. A great debut for Spike! Millions (Boyle, Danny 2004 IMDB) 3/10Horrible, cheesy, clichéd movie that was pretty painful to watch. I have never hated a kid (except Jake Lloyd) as much as I hated the little kid in this movie. I cannot believe Boyle would do this, ugh! **Spoilers**The end with the mom was terribly cheesy, “you are the miracle.” Ugh! I know it’s a kid’s movie but Christ the mom turns into a star! **End Spoiler**Maybe I am the only one but this was just dreadful. Lolita (Kubrick, Stanley 1962 IMDB) 10/10Very surprising for a film that came out in 1962; About a writer who falls in love with a sixteen year old girl. The film was just brilliant. Peter Sellers is great. I love his over-the-top approach to his character(s) and his stuttering and dialogue-delivery. Manson is probably the best in the whole film; he was everything the role needed and then some. He didn’t actually show much affection for the girl but I believed his love for her. The photography, as in all Kubrick’s I have seen, is perfect. I just read that people don’t like the ending!? I found the ending to be perfect for the film, not everything is wrapped up in a nice package like most films. It ended just where it should. Very underrated Kubrick that everyone should definitely try to check out.

Rashomon (Akira Kurosawa) (1950) I was expecting a masterpiece going in, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Mifune, as always, was masterful, and the cinematography and editing were top-notch. Truly groundbreaking, and probably one of the most important films ever made in terms of influencing the film industry. 10/10

Mask (Bogdanovich, Peter 1985 IMDB) 9/10 Fun but heartbreaking film about a boy with a deformed face whose mother is part of a biker gang. This true story is brilliantly acted, especially by Cher and Stoltz. Some parts very fun while others are tearjerkers. It is not sappy in anyway or over-sentimental. It made me think of how mean some people can be before they get to know someone. Perfect direction by Bogdanovich. May be hard to watch but truly a great film and a must see! Ivan the Terrible, Part 1 (Eisenstein, Sergei 1944 IMDB) 10/10Beautiful, I am blown away by the film. Perfectly shot with some of the best close-ups ever put on film. The acting is great and unique. They are very over-the-top and they over-articulate words, it’s just amazing to watch. The film is lighted differently than I have seen, sometimes you can’t even see actors eyes you see their chin or nose, but it works perfectly. The plot did get somewhat confusing as characters are coming in and out without being named but as the film went along it became a little clearer. Like I said some of the best cinematography I have ever seen. While there are some things that are bad in the film (sound, a little confusing, etc.) it still gets a ten for some of the most beautiful and striking images I have ever seen. I look forward greatly to the sequel ( Ivan the Terrible, Part 2) and I am wondering how it turns out with only two parts of a story original suppose to be a trilogy. This will blow you away!

Thankyou for smoking
I though this was very funny. It did tail off towards the end a little but most of the actors were good. Though the kid in it was dreadfully wooden and annoyed the hell out of me. But overall its a good little comedy, it almost feels in the same mould as the big lebowski in its structure to.
8/10

School of Rock 8/10 (rewatch) A very fun film from Linklater. Great music and a great performance from Black. Le Corbeau 9/10 Excellent film from Clouzot. Suspenseful and tense just like Wages of Fear. Great ending also. Can't wait to see Diabolique.

X Men 3: The Last Stand 6.5/10 It is really a shame that Singer went to direct Superman and left this series to die in the hands of Ratner. Sure, this film has good parts. Like Beast, who is played wonderfully by Kelsey Grammar. But it sacrifices emotion for explosions just like the rest of Ratner's flicks do. Hope you guys stayed for the after credits ending.
