I watched the same thing and it is far worse than I remembered. moses was being generous. And some of the worst was cut out of the film and it was still terrible.

I would have no problem with that. A fun popcorn movie inbetween Bergman and Fellini...

Manhattan- 10/10. Rewatch. Was, is, and always will be my favorite Allen movie. Just reminds me of how much I love the Big City. Story is fantastic and so is Allen.

Naked Lunch- 8.6/10. An excellent film. Totally deserving of the Criterion label, despite what the so called master of criterions says. Very surreal, not in a 8 1/2 sense, but in a Fear and Loathing and Las Vegas kind of way. The hallucinatory visions of Lee are fantastic. So is the end.

Your wrong! An 8.6 on your terrible scale of grading is def. not worthy of criterion and you know it. And I didn't say it was horrible. But def. the worst Cronenberg.

Have you ever seen it Tim? If you have what is your opinion? It was a good film, probably the worst Cronenberg I have seen, but it was still good. Definitly deserves Criterion if Fear and Loathing does, since they are two completely different takes on the same subject, drug use.

F and L is more deserving. It is so much better, but it is another that some could say would not be worthy. Naked Lunch is more sci-fi drug use. While F and L takes the more comedy drug use route. Naked Lunch was just pretty pointless and dumb to me.

It was not pointless at all! It was a great take on drug use! But, it was also an inside look on how a writer writes. Ever seen Barton Fink? They do the same thing in different ways. It was not the greatest film ever. But it was a good one and deserving of the Criterion label.

So you think Naked Suck should be on the same line as Seven Samurai and 8 1/2. No..! It just was boring and not that good.

Yes, I do. It was a good sci-fi film, that happened to have some different layers to it. But whatever, I dont feel like arguing about it anymore.

Anyway... Mission: Impossible III- 7.5/10 I dug this movie. Much much much much better than the second one. Also better than the first one by a bit. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was great as usual. Cruise and Fishbourne were also good. Simon Pegg was funny... Good movie.

City of God- 10/10. Rewatch. A perfect film. The Pulp Fiction of Brazilian movies. The different stories meld together perfectly. Seu Jorge is absolutly excellent in his role as Knockout Ned and so are the rest of the cast. The cinematography is sensational also.

Billy Elliot - Ok film, but it tries too hard to create emotions. It doesn`t quite let you think for yourself, instead it pushes the viewer to cry and laugh. But technically pretty good, though not mindblowing. 5/10
