War and Peace - I'm really enjoying it so far, Tolstoys descriptions of people is majestic, his sentence structure and co-ordination is masterful. I've just finished 'book one'....of the first book.

^^^ well so far I haven't gotten any *sigh* time to carry on with war and peace type feeling, so I consider it to be enjoyable so far. I love the way Tolstoy describes the characters looks. Stuff along the lines of 'he looked at him as if he knew exactly what he meant and wanted out of it.' That's very cool, i haven't seen that technique before and the ways it's used is really good.

I don't know, I think that sounds a little bit too...'tonight' style. Or maybe to americans, 'after school special', a title I mean Heh. I think war and peace is better, it sound solid, epic, and self explanatory (I'm assuming!)

Oh, sorry. I was just joking. It was a line from an episode of Seinfeld.

The Ten Cent Plague by David Hajdu It's a pretty good account of the McCarthy-esque comic book hearings in the early fifties.
