I'm soon finished with the Mizoguchi chapter, and so far it's one of the most captivating books on something to to with filmmaking that I've read. It's a fast and easy read, joyful and mind expanding. Mizoguchi has become my favorite Asian filmmaker by now, even though I've only seen four of his films. Colorful characters. Bold humor. I've only just started reading it.

I loved it, absolutely amazing. I wrote a review of it in the other thread.
World Without End by Ken Follett is what I'm working on now.

I'm reading a little bit of these at a time: Samurai Executioner: Volume 3 and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. I have plans to read Maus and Lupin III: Volume 2. Lotta comics lately. Complications: A Surgeon's Notes on an Imperfect Science by Atul Gawande / Intern by Doctor X Work has been going well. I've picked up a basic interest in learning more about medicine, so maybe over time I can talk like the nurses I'll be troubleshooting tech stuff with. Dave Matthews Band: Music for the People, Revised and Updated (2004 edition) I'm going to throw it in the car when I'm doing driving practice and need to wait around. Art of Worldly Wisdom by Baltasar Gracian Some short and simple almost-koans on life. And some other stuff here and there. Been busy. I read a little bit of Candide earlier this year, good stuff.

Then we came to the end - Joshua Ferris - a comic debut about working in an office. It's very funny.

Origin of Species by Charles Darwin for the past six months, just can't find the time for that type of focused reading while school is still going on.
