So, just got back from the Yardbirds. (Sorry BeeD, all original members except the guitarist) They were phenomenal! They played Dazed and Confused last, and then came out for an encore. Fantastic performance. Their new guitarist is great, too. He's no Clapton, Beck, or Page, but who is? The opening band sucked, though.
Opening band: 2/10
Yardbirds: 10/10
Concert overall 10/10 (Sure, the opener sucked but I forgot about it so easily.

I would never see the Yardbirds without one of the original three. Even if they were fantastic. Was Keith Relf there??? I thought he died and he was the original voice of the Yardbirds.

Well, no, he wasn't. I was mistaken. But, I was under the impression that you were under the impression that there were NO original members, and it was a glorified cover band. Were they as good as they probably were with the original three? No, but it was FREE, what the fuck do you want, a reunion with Clapton?

Nice try, they were terrible! The new lead singer BLOWS! She couldn't even hit the right notes on 'Somebody to Love' That was possibly the most depressing concert EVER.

Just saw the Beach Boys. Very good concert. The encore with 'Fun Fun Fun' just killed me, it was so great. I would type up a set list, but they played so many songs, I could hardly remember the exact order.

I just got tickets for Family Values which should be awesome. I love Korn (I don't understand the hate, their first cds where original and different and I have still heard nothing like them). I am mainly going because I missed all other big rock concerts this summer.  |

Just went to Family Values. It was the best concert I have ever been. So much fun.
Bands were:
Walls of Jericho - I didn't even know they were going to be there but I had seen concert footage of them before from Hellfest and they looked awesome, and they were. Rarely do I see a band so heavy with a girl lead singer.
Deadsy - Terrible.
Bullets and Octane - Decent, they sound like that Avenge Sevenfold.
Bury Your Dead - So heavy and so amazing. The lead singer came out with a Abrecrombie and Fitch (sp?) shirt on!
Dir en grey - a asian rock band that was great. When the lead singer came out it looked like he had just got out of bed. His voice was really great and I loved all the band members hair.
10 Years - They were great. The lead singer had an amazing voice and also had dread locks. They really surprised me how good live they were.
Flyleaf - this is when the people started getting into the pit area and it filled up. I liked them much more than most, I like the girls voice.
Stonesour - Really amazing. I got a pick from them!
Deftones - Holy jesus mind-blowing. During the song 7 Words I got a pit going (the first time I actually started my own pit) and it was huge. Someone slapped me on the back of the head and almost knocked me down. It was just insane. I also got in a fight with like 20 people over a drum stick and I was one of the last three with my hands on it, but than a huge black security dude came in. The girl said "you are going to steal from a girl!?" and I said "obviously." And it should have been mine but the fucking huge dude came and took it and didn't let anyone get it.
KoRn - I really don't see the hate for them. There first album is one of the best 90's rock albums ever. So different then most. This was easily the best thing I have ever seen. So much to tell. They were insane!!! The lead singer got a huge fire hose out and just kept spraying us with it, it was great. I got two picks, a drumstick, and a autograph shirt (!) thrown to me! So many pits, so insane. So many great songs. This is why I go to concerts! I have probably never had so much fun.

You left out the while listening to shitty heavy metal part. I wouldnt mind getting my brains blown out if I was at a Rage or Pantera concert, because the music just smashes.

Yes, tonight was the night! Me and Blackmoses went to see an underground show with a bunch of harcore bands, headlining was Devil Wears Prada. It was so intense and so many stories I could tell. There were tons and pits, and even more hardcore dancing, of which I took part in both, more hardcore dancing. I am liking that even more than pits now, just feels so good to let your fists fly. Please watch this video, it is Devil Wears Prada, you obviously won't like it, but just imagine me there.
