Yea, but they were underground shows with bands nobody has ever heard of. I bet you haven't been to five large scale concerts in your whole life....

No, I don't think I have. Unless you count those free 8 great Tuesday concerts. But I would rather go see tons of underground bands or go to underground shows then see almost any band or go to almost any large scale concert.

I honestly do not think I would enjoy it. I hate nu-metal, hardcore, metalcore, grindcore, and all the other sub genres involving the word "core." I hate that type of music, it is just noise to me. Sure, the moshing may be fun but I would be in too much pain from the noise coming out of the amps to enjoy myself.

Well, there are some shows with pure metal bands that you might like. I will tell you the next time there is, just in case you want to go or something.

That show was stunning!! The Devil Wears Prada and Drop Dead Gorgeous were both the most mind blowing thing ever, Devil Wears Prada was better though. And At the Throne of Judgment was fantastic too. Dance Gavin Dance was the worst band I have ever seen live, we actually left while they were playing they were so bad. Before Their Eyes was decent.

oh god, devil wears prada, at least musically, are very capable and quite good, but most "snobs" like you guy's can't get passed your snobbish ways to listen, not to mention most of the band is in, or just got out of, high school. lyrically, they are also quite good.
also, you guy's don't understand how much fun a concert like that is, and maybe, if you would give them a chance, you would learn that, at least the concerts, can be quite fun.

don't give me that shit. i've been going to concerts like those since i was 11 years old. i know the concerts can be fun. but these days i go to a concert for something more than an ass beating. ugh! it is the experience, letting out your aggression, etc. that makes them good, not getting beat up. i like going to concerts, but i would much rather go to a concert with a mosh pit, than concerts where you just sit and listen to the music. which might sound crazy, but whatever. the main reason a person should go to a concert is for the experience, and people like to experience things differently, so whatever.

Im in the chill out camp, moshing died for me after I got stitches at a Drowning Pool show, like a month before dude died. But despite my chill demeanor, I just ordered tickets to see RAGE AGAINST THE FUCKING MACHINE at Alpine Valley in East Troy WI on Aug 24th. OMFGOMFGOMFGOMFG. This radio DJ i talk to from St. Louis told me he was going yesterday, so the second i got home i got two tickets to see the one band that i really wanted to see someday before i died. before it was them, beasties, and the wu, but now beasties are old and bitchy, ODB is dead, so all i need to see is RAGE and i could but a bullet in my dome and die the happiest person ever.

I've never been, and never will be this excited for anything in my entire life. Fuck marrige, first borns, anniversaries, all that shit. Rage is going to top any drug or orgasm achievable. Last time I was at Alpine Valley was for Ozzfest, and i was just a wee dude back then. Shit is gonna pop off for sure.

I saw.....*drumroll*...THE POLICE last night. God damn they were awesome. It was Stewart Copeland's birthday and the band was obviously energetic. Sting's voice is just as strong today as it was 20 years ago. The vocals are just as crisp as they are on record. Copeland's just as fun to watch with his wacky outfit and focused drumming. Summers is an excellent guitarist, even if he is overshadowed by the other two. Overall, great show, totally worth the 90 dollar ticket. Setlist: Message in a Bottle Synchronicity II Walking On The Moon Voices Inside My Head When The World Is Running Down Don't Stand So Close To Me Driven To Tears Truth Hits Everybody Bed's Too Big Without You Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic Wrapped Around Your Finger De Do Do Do De Da Da Da Invisible Sun Walking In Your Footsteps Can't Stand Losing You Roxanne King Of Pain So Lonely Every Breath You Take Next To You

OMG checking out this lineup I am foaming at the fucking mouth. I'm thinking I should come to Erie and steal your warped tickets or something. You lucky lucky bastard!
Yellowcard, the used, underoath, spill canvas, pennywise, killswitch, as i lay dying, daphne loves derby, drop dead gorgeous, circle jerks, karate highschool......
so many decent bands. I'm just going to cry or something lol
But I am planning to go to taste of chaos in November. Some good bands there:
The used (Im dying for a longer set with their new material) aiden rise against
those are the main confirmations but also bands like gallows, the bled, escape the fate and funeral for a friend will be playing to. Should be a great show!

Should be a great show! haha. yeah, here are the bands i most want to see that will be at the date i am going to: (maybe) alkaline trio, bad religion, (maybe) bless the fall, coheed and cambria, drop dead gorgeous, (maybe) funeral for a friend, (maybe) it dies today, killswitch engage, parkway drive, throwdown, and underoath. the two main bands i NEED to see are parkway drive and throwdown, since those are the heaviest, but i also must see coheed and cambria. a lot of the bands you mentioned aren't going to be at my show, i wish circle jerks were, but they aren't. some of the bands there i have already seen: killswitch and drop dead gorgeous, and i have seen the used before. it should be an awesome show, i cannot wait!! oh yeah, and poison the well is going to be there after my date, but are coming and playing in erie on the first, so i will see them then.

Guess what, I just went to the best concert ever, better than any possible concert any of you could ever go to (unless you went to Chicago's Pitchfork Festival this year). Ill reveal the concert and set list to all you salavators later.

Yes, but the reason that it was my dream concert is the set list. Here is the ordered set list of the Sonic Youth concert I went to (keep in mind this is in order): Teenage Riot Silver Rocket The Sprawl 'Cross The Breeze Eric's Trip Total Trash Hey Joni Providence Candle Rain King Kissability Trilogy: a) The Wonder b) Hyperstation z) Eliminator Jr. -------- Encore: 5 Songs From Rather Ripped My personal favorite performances from the concert were Silver Rocket, Cross The Breeze, Candle, and Trilogy....there was some epic guitar play from each of those.
