Did I mention fleet foxes? Anyone who doesn't have their album really should. It is absolutely stonking. It's magical and glorious and haunting and beautifully melodic. I highly highly reccommend subpops newest gem of a band! Please check them out and get back to me! Finally check these guys out, albeit two months late. Album is pretty good, their singer sounds exactly like Jim James of My Morning Jacket though. Probably about an 8/10...

Library haul, proving that I am quickly becoming Chris's favorite person. Before These Crowded Streets by DMB ($2) Urban Hymns by the Verve ($1) The Great Adventures of Slick Rick ($1) Time's Up by Living Colour ($1.50) And two custom CDs not on RYM. The cashier also mentioned that I had quite a haul, even giving me a pencil since I bought so much. Guess they don't see people spending close to ten bucks and using a twenty that often at a library. Maybe one or two bucks at the most...

Be Here Now by Oasis-- It's not very good (there are some great tracks), but it was only four bucks, and it's the only Oasis album I don't own.

Seriously, all these bands should get together and form a supergroup called "Late 00s Seattle." That way I can keep track of them. Don't worry, I'm not giving you a hard time for liking them. Just a bit of a .

Don't worry, that's cool. Just means you don't have to be saturated by it. 24/7. Man, for such a dreary place like Seattle, you'd be surprised how many cheesy indie hipster bands there are here.

Morrissey- Years of Refusal (good, solid Morrissey) Teenage Fanclub- Bandwagonesque (Pretty cool, need to listen to it more) Blink-182- Dude Ranch (I don't care, this is a good album) Weezer- Pinkerton (rebought, old copy got fucked up. Obviously a classic.) Paul McCarntney- Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (surprisingly awesome!) The Who- A Quick One (probably the weakest of their "classic" era, but still has some amazing songs on it.) The Rentals- Seven More Minutes (Good, but kind of inconsistent. The song, "My Head is in the Sun", which Matt Sharp cowrote with Rivers Cuomo, is probably the best track.)
Also, I downloaded the complete Ringo Starr discography for some reason.

Bought Steven Wilson's Insurgentes, and after many listenings I think this CD might possibly be the best album I've come across so far this decade.

Something Else by the Kinks by the Kinks (Classic, obviously.) Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo by Rivers Cuomo (Great for a Weezer obsessive like myself, probably could be skipped by casual fans. Some great lost gems on here, though. The liner notes are amazing, too.)

Songs of Faith and Devotion by Depeche Mode (This is a good album, though not one of their best.) My Aim is True by Elvis Costello (Classic) Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo by Rivers Cuomo (Better than the first. Tons of great songs from all eras of Weezer.)
